Experimental production of corn silage for the production of biogas for the needs of the XDEGREE project within the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Serbia, started in autumn 2017 with contracting and pre-sowing soil preparation. Pre-sowing soil preparation included soil analyses, tilling using disc harrow, non-selective herbicide spraying, basic NPK fertilization (120:80:100), ploughing down to the depth of 25 cm, urea fertilization 100 kg/ha, and also fall ploughing down to the depth of 35 cm.
In 2018, the experiment continued with additional soil tillage, sowing, conservation and treatment of the experiment, including furrow closing, additional NPK fertilization 80 kg/ha, pre-sowing soil preparation, repellent seed treatment, sowing, spraying after sowing, formation of the experiment per repetitions, inter-row tillage including fertilization (30 kg/ha), and irrigation.
Concurrently with the experiment, silage production was being monitored.
