Partner in the XDegree project, Vinkovci Water and Sewerage Ltd. is in the final phase of installing solar power on wastewater treatment object in Ivankovo near Vinkovci. Solar panels are placed on a construction directly above the sewage treatment pool with total output of 50kWh. Procurement and installation of this solar powerplant are provided through grants of Interreg IPA Cross-border cooperation program Croatia – Serbia.
The construction of this power plant is the first in a series of solar power plants building on partners 6 facilities under this project whose main objective is to promote the use of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency in the cross-border area.
