A very well-attended international scientific conference ‘Renewable Energy Sources in Urban Areas’ was held within the framework of the project ‘Exploitation of Different Energy Sources for Green Energy Production – XDEGREE’ at the Large Hall of the Novi Sad Fair Master Centre during the International Energy and Investment Fair on 28 February 2019.
The opening speeches were made by Nenad Grbić, Provincial Secretary of Energy, Construction and Transport, Vidosava Enderić, Head of the European Affairs Fond of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Professor Stevan Stankovski, PhD, Science Vice-Rector of the University in Novi Sad, and Filip Kulić, PhD, Full Professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, who is also the Project Manager.
The conference was organised within two panels, ‘Both Rural and Urban’ (about the concept of renewable energy sources development) and ‘Renewable Energy Sources and Sustainable Development in Urban Areas’, which were followed by a most interesting discussion.
In addition to partner attendance, the conference had an international aspect because of the participation and speeches of guests from the USA, Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
